Patagonia offers free holiday shippingI was browsing this morning, looking for a replacement for the fleece hat I lost to the Pacific Ocean on a windy day. They don’t make the exact same hat that I lost, which is a bummer because it was the best hat I’ve ever owned. However, they have plenty of other great products and deals right now, with FREE SHIPPING on all orders. Here are a few of my faves.

Patagonia Merino SweaterPatagonia Women’s Merino Crew Sweater

I love stripes. This Merino Crew Sweater is made from fine 16-gauge 100% merino wool that’s jersey knit and incredibly soft. Classic crewneck styling with drop-shoulder seams and long sleeves; a fine rib at neck, cuffs and hem lend style and heat retention. Length falls to hip.

Patagonia Women's Merino HatPatagonia Women’s Merino Beanie

$24.00 (on sale)

Patagonia may not make my favorite fleece stocking cap anymore (I’d make it myself if I had a pattern) but I sure love their Merino Beanie (it comes in tan, black, and blue). Made of a fine gauge merino wool basketweave, its topped with a fun pom pom and trimmed in cute buttons. That beautiful outdoorsy woman on your list? She’ll love it.

Patagnonia Fiona Down ParkaPatagonia Women’s Fiona Parka

I’m gaga over this windproof, water-resistant parka, especially considering the below-freezing temps bombarding us this year. That’s  800-fill-power goose down insulation, folks! And with the long length, there’s little to no chance of cold, wet snow sneaking its way down your pants. Because yes, that happens. (No? Well it happens to me!)

Patagonia Men's Foraging Sweater

Patagonia Men’s Forage Sweater

$89.00 (on sale)

Just think, you buy your guy a sweater and he brings you home a fresh-picked basket of wild mushrooms! Okay, maybe not, but who knows what kinds of wild edible collecting this cool forage sweater will inspire. It’s a rugged pullover made of 5-gauge lambswool/nylon jersey knit blend with a funnel-neck collar and organic cotton canvas reinforcements on shoulders and elbows. Oh, and it comes in three nature-inspired colors.

Patagonia Messenger BagPatagonia Half Mass Bag

Patagonia’s best-selling courier bag is made with recycled polyester. Northwest bike commuters will appreciate the large capacity in a sleek silhouette with good structure. Inside, a padded computer sleeve accommodates most 15-inch laptops. The main compartment features a drop pocket that secures with a hook-and-loop tab, a mesh pocket, a padded electronics pocket and pen sleeves. The cover flap overlaps the sides of the bag to block rain (very important!)  and has a pocket with a water-resistant zipper. With a topside carrying handle, a reflective panel for visibility at night and a bike-light mount. Made of 600-denier 100% recycled polyester with a polyurethane coating.

Patagonia Sloucher BeaniePatagonia Sloucher Beanie

It’s true, this cute beanie is a bowling ball gift – part of the reason to gift it is so you can borrow it.

The nylon/wool blend beanie is stretchy and warm, and has a bit of extra volume (for a big head or a lot of big hair), or you can roll the edge for a closer fit. I like the extra volume of this hat – its what I loved about the Patagonia fleece hat that I lost.

Patagonia Snap-T FleecePatagonia Men’s Snap-T Hoody

It’s a classic, updated. And it looks more modern than ever.

Patagonia’s hoody provides the warmth of a sweatshirt with the technical benefits of double-faced polyester fleece. The Snap-T Hoody is made of 10.6-oz recycled polyester fleece and has a hood for extra warmth.

Patagonia Kids MittensPatagonia Kids’ Better Sweater Mitts

Kid’s mittens can get lost so easily that I’m often hesitant to shell out too much money for a nice pair. These are priced just at the top of the range I would pay.  They look like wool, but are made of a durable, sweater-knit polyester with a warm fleece interior. The exterior polyester resists getting waterlogged when making snowmen, keeping the little fingers inside warm and dry.

Patagonia Boys Down JacketPatagonia Boys’ Down Jacket

Retro-inspired and oh so warm. Lightweight, windproof and toasty, the kid’s  down jacket has a water-resistant polyester ripstop shell treated with DWR (durable water repellent) that’s insulated with high-loft, 600-fill-power premium European goose down. That means it’ll stay dry in a light Northwest drizzle (our usual kind) or in a soft snowfall.

Patagonia Kids BackpackPatagonia Poco Mas 15L Kids’ Backpack

Kids are people, too! And thus, have the same appreciation for Patagonia backpacks as the rest of us. This medium-sized one is suitable for the school hallway and the hiking trail both. It’s got a basic organizer main compartment, and mesh side and front stash pockets. There’s enough room to accommodate books, a lunch and even a hoodie. And it’ll keep the kiddo’s stash dry in the rain because it has a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish.
