Dear Eva,
I’d put Zinger’s Homemade Ice Cream in Seaside on your eatery list for sure. Stop by Tsunami Sandwiches (home of the tsunami pastrami) to pick up sandwiches and take them to the beach. Both are on Broadway, the main street to the beach.
Other Seaside eateries that come highly recommended by some local travel bloggers are Bagels by the Sea on Holladay and Auntie M’s on Beach Drive for breakfast or lunch. Angelina’s rocks the pizza, and for Mexican food, head to The Stand on Holladay.

“Norma’s for the best chowder on the coast (maybe the country!) Also amazing steamer clams, and my young daughter devours the spaghetti every time we go. We live in Southeastern Washington so it’s not an all the time thing, but at least once a year when we go on our coastal vacation.”
This all depends on when you are visiting Seaside. Pacific Way Bakery is the best on the North Coast but it’s only open on the weekends. So head to Waves of Grain in Cannon Beach if you are visiting during the week (except they are closed on Tue or Wed). The Stand offers great, fresh Mexican food but it’s only open Mon-Fri, from 11am-6pm. Norma’s is a pretty good place for dinner – we’ve been happy with their seafood. But you can go to Yummy’s for the same price and get creative, local and fresh food – a much better choice.
