Thanks to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland is the region’s star tourist attraction and all of that attention has made it even better for travelers. Your restaurant dinner will be fabulous and locally-grown. Your B&B or hostel will be friendly and family-run. And of course, your theater will be incredible.

Crater Lake is the nation’s deepest lake, and is all that remains of a towering volcano once named Mazama that blew its top about 6000 years ago. Visit Crater Lake National Park to see this incredible natural wonder and hike one of the Park’s short trails while you are there. From its headwaters of Crater Lake, the Rogue River picks up steam (and a lot of water) as it grows and tumbles through deep forests and along ranchlands to its mouth at Gold Creek on the southern Oregon Coast. Along the way, it delights a lot of fishermen and whitewater kayakers.
