Are you an early bird? You have to get up pretty early in the morning (5:45am – 6:15am) to witness the spectacle of hot air balloons launching into the sky at the crack of dawn during the Tigard Festival of Balloons, but we hear it’s worth it.
This summer festival set just to the southwest of Portland is about more than just rainbow-hued balloons, though. For the rest of the weekend, it’s a big, fun carnival with clowns, cotton candy, and live music and fun. There’s a corn-eating contest and Rogue beer garden, and of course plenty of stuff for kids to do.
