Sampling Beer in Sisters

Central Oregon is the kind of place where people like to enjoy themselves. You know, live a little. Or a lot. I sensed this when I was taking a stroll downtown Bend recently. Suddenly a giant peddle-powered brewpub on wheels rolled past me on the street. Its patrons were waving enthusiastically as they pedaled past. But that’s a story for a whole other photo of the day. Stay tuned.

This past summer we found ourselves in the tiny town of Sisters, Oregon. While Bend may be the craft beer capital of the west, its little sister of a town has a brewpub all its own. Three Creeks Brewing company crafts seven varieties of beer and rotates through seasonals as well. I sampled them all and fell especially hard for Hoodoo Voodoo IPA, Knotty Blonde and Stonefly Rye. The brewpub’s decor resembles a sports bar, but their menu doesn’t. Try the flatbread and fish tacos.
